Who We Are

Silent Storytellers

Ai Nguyen

Hi, I'm Ai, an IT student at NHL Stenden University of Applied Science in the Netherlands. As an international student, I'm drawn to technology not just for code or systems, but for the stories we can tell and bridges we can build between communities. I'm passionate about using immersive experiences to help people understand the deaf community's daily realities. Through our collaborative efforts, I've learned that the most powerful technology emerges when diverse perspectives unite around creating awareness and meaningful change through genuine human connection.

Bence Mohr

I'm Bence (Ben) Mohr, 20 years old and currently studying IT in the Netherlands. I always try to look at the human side of things, especially when working on digital projects. This project is about creating a space where everyday stories can be heard—honest, personal experiences that help others feel seen and understood.

Kyan Jeuring

Hello World, my name is Kyan and I am an IT student at NHL Stenden Hogeschool University of Applied Sciences. I believe that technology can be used to make a positive impact on the world, and I am looking forward to working with my team to create something meaningful. Together, we can raise awareness about the challenges faced by the deaf community and help bridge the gap between hearing and non-hearing individuals.

Victoria Iașcevschi

Hi, I'm Victoria, a student passionate about technology and helping others. With this project, we're combining our IT skills and desire to make a real difference. Our game is designed to bring people together and highlight the everyday challenges deaf individuals face, often unnoticed by others. I hope Deafinity and this website will raise awareness and inspire change. Share your story and play the game, that's how we'll know we made an impact.

Sara Kiani Nejad

Hi, I'm Sara, an IT student at NHL Stenden with a big interest in using technology to make a real difference. I've always been curious about how things work and how we can use digital tools to tell powerful stories. Right now, I'm working with an amazing team on a project called Silent Storytellers, where we turn real experiences from the deaf community into VR scenes that help others understand their daily challenges. I believe tech isn't just about code, it's about connection, awareness, and change.

I care deeply about people, and being part of this meaningful project has been a truly rewarding experience. Flavius Petrașciuc

Hello, my name is Flavius and I am an Information Technology student at NHL Stenden Hogeschool University of Applied Sciences. I am happy to participate in this project, knowing that I can make an impact alongside my team members. Together, we strive to bring to life the stories of those who don't have the means of expressing them. This way, we can bring people together by raising awareness and fostering empathy.

Our Goal

Deafinity is a game that provides immersive VR experience and this website is designed to raise awareness that many people live with hearing challenges. Through powerful storytelling, cutting-edge technology, and collaboration with deaf individuals and sign language interpreters, we aim to spark empathy, inspire change, and build practical skills in design, coding, and teamwork.
